
Principal Engineer, Research & Development, Co-Founder
Cjin Pheow designed and implemented the first backbone of the BuzzCity service and continues to play an important part in improving it. He is instrumental in constantly keeping the company's mobile infrastructure updated with the latest technologies. Like Kok Fung and Clifford, Cjin Pheow was an engineer at KRDL, where he won the Technical Innovation Award in 1995. Cjin Pheow won a public scholarship to study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned both a Bachelor and Master Degree in Computer Science.
Principal Engineer, Systems & Facilities
Michael oversees BuzzCity’s system infrastructure and focuses on improving the global platform’s reliability and scalability. He has been involved in BuzzCity’s expansion and acquisition activities, and supervises system integration and migration. Before taking on the current role, Michael led the engineering team in China, managing the complex operation requirements of the local mobile value-added service. He has won over 30 academic awards, competition prizes and scholarships from various organizations. Michael was awarded a Scholarship from the Ministry of Education in Singapore and holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore.
Senior Engineer, Community Platforms
Elvin leads the Community Platforms team managing myGamma, the Mobile Social Networking product of BuzzCity. He is involved in the continuous improvement of the product so as to maximize outreach to a wide range of mobile internet users, giving them the ease of being connected as a community on the go. His other specialization is in the Billing solutions for both myGamma and BuzzCity’s advertising network so that online payments by end-users and partners are processed securely and smoothly.
Prior to joining BuzzCity, Elvin has numerous years of experience in Multimedia Programming where he incorporated interaction logic into animations. While he was pursuing his Master Degree in Information Systems from Nanyang Technology University, he continued to extend his knowledge on Interface Usability and Human Computer Interaction. His qualifications include a Computer Science Degree from Adelaide University.
Senior Engineer, Associate Systems
Terry had an early interest and flair in programming. This was evident during his early-to-advanced academic experience. In addition to achieving many Olympic Mathematics/Computing competition prizes, he has also won various competitions in Physics. He now manages the Associate Systems team at BuzzCity. He is responsible for BuzzCity’s Ad network infrastructure and manages the implementation of the Ad network’s platform for Publishers and Advertisers.
Terry was awarded a Scholarship from the Ministry of Education in Singapore and holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Terry volunteers in the community grassroots organizations in Singapore and is a prominent youth activist and pioneer in programs/events in the area of IT.
Senior Engineer, Research & Development
Baotong designed and developed myGamma’s Developers Platform, which enables third-party developers to create networked applications in myGamma on the mobile internet. As a member of the the Research and Development team, he conducted research in a wide area of technologies, e.g. WEB2.0, SEO, SNS, network security, online gaming and implemented many of these technologies into our applications. He is also lead designer and developer of the mobile games portal – Djuzz.
Baotong was awarded a full Scholarship from Ministry of Education in Singapore and holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. He is pursuing his Master of Computing Degree from National University of Singapore.
