Account Manager (India, Thailand, UK & Malaysia)

The BuzzCity Mobile Ad Network continues to grow. To support this growth we are looking to fill the roles of Account Manager (Advertising Sales) in our India, Thailand, United Kingdom and Malaysia offices respectively.

The primary function of this role is to have a thorough understanding of agency/clients’ business, marketing strategies and media objectives to ensure that online display advertising is consistently top of mind.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively contact new and existing clients and educate, propose and secure buy-in on digital marketing via telephone sales, or face-to-face meetings.
  • Identify, propose and sell programs to targeted organizations within the target markets set out by the company.
  • Develop an understanding of client’s business, products, services, customer profile, marketing and business objectives, competitors and sales.
  • Provide world-class customer service in responding to general and specialized client requests via both phone and email, including billing inquiries, campaign activity inquiries and advertising relevancy issues.

Assistant Manager, Publisher Alliance (Singapore)

Job Description

The BuzzCity Mobile Ad Network continues to grow. To support this growth we are looking to fill the role of Assistant Manager, Publisher Alliance in our Singapore office.

The primary function of this role is responsible to support Director, Publisher Alliance on day-to-day communications /support with the Account Managers globally. The overall goal is to drive adoption of BuzzCity’s ad codes and maximize revenues for publishers. This will require strong relationships built with BuzzCity’s publishers and proactive engagements on expanding the usage of BuzzCity’s monetization solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and identify potential areas of optimization and opportunities for revenue growth
  • Engage in day-to-day communications with publisher and sales team such as inventory requests, ads approval, etc.
  • Work closely with relevant internal departments to ensure completeness of internal projects.
  • Maintain and monitor publisher’s channels.
  • Working with Engineering department to ensure advanced integration for large publishers
  • Proactively prospect new publishers and manage existing publishers’ relationship
  • Supporting Publisher’s marketing activities (such as Publisher workshop, sponsorship, etc.)

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Business or a related field preferred.

Data Scientist

Established in 1999 in Singapore, BuzzCity (the “Company”) is a leading mobile advertising network in the emerging markets. BuzzCity serves over 30 billion ads per month to over 500 million consumers across a variety of devices including feature phones, smartphones, tablets and desktop devices.  To support its growth, the Company is seeking a Data Scientist to assist its engineering and marketing programmes.

Key Responsibilities

The Data Scientist will develop of the Company’s data analysis platform which hosts a large amount of data over many dimensions. The Data Scientist will work with the different divisions of the Company to improve, refine and scale data management and analytics procedures, systems and workflows to influence practice across all disciplines within the Company.

  • By means of various statistical and machine learning techniques, seek to improve ad targeting, yield management and revenue generation
  • Design experiments and create case studies demonstrating the effectiveness of the Company’s development work and products to clients and the internal team
  • Lead and influence the design and development of solutions for increasing yield, inventory forecasting etc.
Personal Attributes and Characteristics
  • Able to advise various stakeholders (senior management / sales team / industry analysts) in clear language about the implications of their work for the organization and industry
  • An understanding of the digital advertising and media ecosystem and how the Company’s strategy fits within the evolving space
  • Being able to create case studies, prototypes and demonstrations to help stakeholders better understand the work being done

Qualifications
  • Strong experience and knowledge of statistical modelling languages including: R, Matlab and non-distributed Python
  • Experience with engineering platforms including Hadoop, Hive, Cassandra and Storm is an advantage
  • Ability and experience in cleansing, processing and analysis of primary data
  • Senior level, hands-on analytics experience in companies dealing with very large numbers of customers (bank, carrier, retail, ecommerce), with a proven track record of delivering bottom-line impact

Marketing Director (Singapore)

The BuzzCity Mobile Ad Network continues to grow. To support this growth we are looking to fill the role of Marketing Director for our expanding global business.

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of BuzzCity’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.

The role oversees development and implementation of support materials in the area of marketing, communications and public relations. Directs the efforts of the marketing, communications and public relations staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the company.

The position reports to the senior management and participates with other management staff in charting the direction of the Organization, assuring its accountability to all constituencies, and ensuring its effective operation.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates must be able to perform effectively in each of these areas:

  1. Develop, implement and manage the marketing strategy for the company with a view to increasing sales.
  2. Ensuring effective marketing communications including the company website, print communication and advertising.
  3. Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
  4. Work closely with the relevant internal parties to ensure relevance of product information.

Special Assistant to Chief Executive Officer

Established in 1999 in Singapore, BuzzCity is now a major mobile advertising network in the emerging markets. To support its growth and operations over 9 global offices, the Company seeks a Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Special Projects

  • Lead or participate in a variety of CEO's special projects as needed.
  • Attend operations, project, and program-related meetings with or for CEO (e.g. staff meetings, annual planning and budget meetings) to capture information and assure thorough follow up.
  • Participate in organization-wide projects that require additional support in initial research, planning, and feasibility analysis support.
  • Support the development of external communications on behalf of the CEO to press, Board, financial investors, peer organizations and staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between CEO and internal/external constituent groups.
  • Support the CEO and organization's active PR campaigns, coordinating with external PR agency, social media consultant and print and broadcast journalists as needed.

Administrative Support

Some administrative support is required to help increase the effectiveness of CEO. However, as the Company operates in a modern, accessible world with a flat hierarchy, traditional administrative support tasks such as managing correspondence, scheduling and travel arrangement is minimal.

Support Engineer / Projects Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and provide support to Publishers & Advertisers on a global mobile advertising network
  • Initiate and develop projects suitable for the mobile advertising market.
  • Responsible for technical support service and managing enquiries from local and regional sale offices
  • Responsible for handling technical cases on ticket system and problem resolution
  • Reporting common issues / fixes and facilitating communications with Projects and support teams based in Singapore
  • Compiling regular reports as required by the Projects Team
Requirements:
  • Good team worker and confident with extensive use of phone and electronic communications
  • Ability to manage and meet the different timezone requirements for support when necessary
  • Technical knowledge or relevant experience in project management and technical support

Systems Engineer

You will work with a team of Engineers to improve interactions across all departments with the aim to enhance the quality of the company's IT infrastructure. You will be reporting to the Head, Systems and Facilities. This is a Singapore-based position.
